WISE, the pillars of the project.

On June 9 2021, Sport Extremadura CD was born thanks to a combination of historical protagonists of women's football and a group of entrepreneurs from different fields.

All those who created the club are united by two things: the WISE concept (Women empowerment, InnovTech, Social and Employability) and the economic stability on which the club is based. In addition, of course, there are the sporting objectives, which can be summed up in one: to make history.

"For me, football is much more than a sport. It is a very transforming tool for social inclusion which changes lives, generates jobs, fulfills the dreams of entire families. On top of that brings a lot of joy and emotions to the fans." reflected Edmilson, a former FC Barcelona player and one of the club's investors through the Quercus Endeavor company.

Like Edmilson, there are 19 other people who are part of Quercus, an entrepreneurial platform formed by 20 individual investors who are united by women empowerment, technology and innovation, social action and employability. 

Despite the club's young age, in just one year the club was promoted to the First National League and is looking to move up again. Thanks to reinforcements, work teams and elite technology, it does not seem a far-off idea.

The club applies technology to almost all areas, setting trends in many aspects. Clear examples of this are OLIVER and Cluber, digital platforms that became indispensable in the structure of Sport Extremadura.

OLIVER. A sports science platform that uses a GPS device to enhance team performance and prevent injuries by obtaining key football metrics.

Cluber. An agile and flexible management platform for player registration, payment, membership management and season ticket sales.

In addition, Sport Extremadura has launched into the world of NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens). NFTs are also tools to generate identity for the club, which despite its young age, continues to attract fans and investors.

Sport extremadura OLIOLIVER has been a key factor in Sport Extremadura's results over the past year.

OLIVER, an indispensable tool.

Although the club has many technological tools, OLIVER stands out above all due to the similarity in the visions and social commitment with Sport Extremadura. 

This is because the device was designed with a gender perspective (placed in a shin guard sock, providing comfort for players who cannot obtain vests) and is 100% adaptable to women's football (adaptable thresholds for better analysis of metrics). In addition, it provides a solution to one of the most frequent problems in women's football: injuries (OLIVER reduces muscular injuries by 45%).

Sponsorships, another opportunity for innovation.

Last year Sport Extremadura had an accumulated audience of more than 25,000 viewers in broadcasts and streaming. In 2022, with new sponsorships, they expect to multiply the impact between 2 and 3 times.

To achieve a significant change in this area, they have applied a lot of innovation to their sponsorship policy, seeking to align them with the club's values.

For next season they hope to achieve promotion to the Second RFEF, a far from easy goal but definitely the way forward to be able to rub shoulders with the elite in the short term. To do so, they will face a complicated group 4, where most of the teams are from Madrid.
